The Mexican Army confirmed this Saturday the arrest of José Enrique “N”, alias “El Fantasma” or “El Güero Huachicol”, alleged boss of the Sinaloa Cartel in the municipalities of Santa Catarina and García, Nuevo León.

Preliminary reports indicate that during surveillance patrols, derived from intelligence work by the National Intelligence Fusion Center (CENFI), the alleged criminal boss was located in the city of Monterrey, accompanied by seven people aboard two vehicles, who were arrested by police authorities in flagrante delicto.
When they were arrested, drugs, four firearms, four magazines, 36 cartridges and two vehicles were seized from them in the Cumbres Élite 4/o neighborhood. Sector of Monterrey, where personnel from the National Guard and the Mexican Army provided peripheral security.
According to military intelligence reports, “El Fantasma” or “El Güero Huachicol” is considered the boss of the plaza and the main generator of violence in the municipalities of Santa Catarina and García, for the Sinaloa Cartel.
The detainees and the seized items were placed at the disposition of the State Attorney General’s Office in Monterrey, to determine their legal situation and continue with the expert investigations that confirm the characteristics of the weapons and the quantity of drugs.
These activities were carried out in strict adherence to the rule of law and with full respect for human rights, the Army said in a statement.
