After abruptly plunging into the sea as the vessel they were aboard was tossed by rough waves, two men were rescued by personnel from the Mexican Navy (Semar) in Puerto Peñasco.

In a statement, Semar reported that both men were treated at the Naval Clinic, where they were later reported to be out of danger and in stable condition.

It specifies that personnel assigned to the Naval Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance Station (Ensar) of the VI Naval Zone provided support to the crew of the vessel called “Renken” last Tuesday after receiving a distress call.

According to the report, the two men fell into the sea due to the high waves prevailing in the area, located approximately 300 meters southwest of the Fundadores seawall.

As a result, the Defender vessel was ordered to set sail, which minutes later managed to locate and rescue the aforementioned individuals, while also towing the vessel that had been involved in the accident.
