The new Santagloria Coffee & Bakery location has opened in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.

The Santagloria Coffee & Bakery chain has opened its first location in Mexico, specifically in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. This launch comes under an agreement with Marcas INDEF, which anticipates the opening of fifty establishments in the country over a five-year period.

Enrique Francia, president of FoodBox, the company that owns the franchise, stated that Latin America represents a “strategic” area for its expansion and described this launch as the beginning of a “new challenge” and a “very special milestone in the brand’s history.”

Furthermore, the opening of a second location in Mérida aligns with the same agreement with Marcas INDEF, which manages ten Santagloria establishments in Madrid and the Basque Country. José Irabién, founder of Marcas INDEF, emphasized that “this is just the beginning of an ambitious expansion plan that will bring Santagloria to the country’s main cities in the coming years.”

With this expansion, Santagloria broadens its international presence, adding to its network of nearly 200 locations across Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.
