One of the states that will be contested in the 2027 elections is Campeche, currently governed by Layda Sansores, a member of the Morena party.
According to an Enkoll poll for El Universal on Citizen Perception in Campeche, the governor’s performance has not met expectations, leading to a pessimistic view of the situation in the state.
Layda Sansores Disapproved of in Campeche
89% of those surveyed stated they knew who Governor Layda Sansores was or had heard of her.
Regarding opinions of the state leader, responses are divided:
44% have a “Bad / Very Bad” opinion.
41% have a “Very Good / Good” opinion.
The remaining 14% consider her opinion to be “Fair”.
Regarding her performance, Layda Sansores’ approval rating as governor of Campeche reaches 43% (combining 21% who approve “a lot/a little” and 22% who approve “a little/a lot”).
Disapproval stands at 53% (31% who disapprove “a lot/a little” and 22% who disapprove “a little/a lot”).
On a scale of 1 to 10, Governor Sansores’ performance received an average rating of 5.7.
The citizens of Campeche have a negative view of the direction the state has taken since the beginning of Layda Sansores’ administration.
When asked if the overall situation in the state is “improving” or “worsening”:
60% believe the situation is “worsening” (51% saying “It is getting worse” and 9% saying “It is just as bad”).
39% believe the situation is “improving” (33% saying “It is improving” and 6% saying “It is just as good”).
The net opinion regarding the state’s situation is -21%.
Target Population: Men and women aged 18 and over.
Sample Size: 614 completed interviews.
Representativeness: The sample is representative of the state of Campeche.
Sample Design: Probabilistic, cluster, and multistage sampling.
Instrument and Technique: Telephone interviews conducted by an operator, using a data collection instrument (questionnaire) appropriate for the study’s purposes. Fieldwork: October 23-25, 2025.
Accuracy and Confidence: The results have a margin of error of approximately +/- 4%, with a 95% confidence level.
