Following a confrontation on the Pátzcuaro-Uruapan highway, armed individuals blocked two sections of road and set fire to a large truck at the turnoff to the community of Ajuno.
They also blocked the Tzurumútaro-Tzintzuntzan highway near the community of Sanabria with a camper and another truck. Similarly, the criminals blocked the Morelia-Pátzcuaro highway at the turnoff to El Correo with two vehicles.
They also opened fire on the tires of several vehicles traveling on the Morelia-Quiroga highway near the town of Iratzio. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far. Officers from various police agencies were deployed to restore order on the affected highways.
