Three years into the administration of Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, the transformation of the state’s road infrastructure is evident in projects connecting the entire state of Tamaulipas.
The Secretary of Public Works (SOP), Pedro Cepeda Anaya, emphasized that, from 2022 to the present, more than 2.5 billion pesos have been invested in road infrastructure throughout the state, carrying out modernization, rehabilitation, asphalt and concrete paving, and boulevard construction projects.
He highlighted projects such as the Bicentennial Roundabout at the intersection of Adolfo López Mateos and Fidel Velázquez Boulevards in the municipality of Tampico, the rehabilitation of Las Torres Avenue and the extension of José López Portillo Boulevard, as well as the 2025 pothole repair program in Ciudad Victoria.
He also mentioned the rehabilitation of Avenida de la Industria in Altamira, while in the city of Reynosa, he cited the asphalt paving of Boulevard Insurgentes and the construction of Boulevard Fundadores, between the eastern side of the Rodhe Canal and Avenida Virreyes.
The commitment to transforming Tamaulipas through quality road infrastructure will continue in this state administration. Among the highlighted projects are the Tampico Elevated Viaduct and the Ciudad Mante Western Bypass, as well as the modernization of the Gulf of Mexico Vertical Corridor; a project of the Federal Government under Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT).
“The execution of these projects reflects this government’s firm commitment to the citizens, through transparent and efficient management focused on improving the quality of life for the people of Tamaulipas,” stated Secretary Cepeda Anaya.
