MAZATLAN. – Do you like sports and supporting noble causes? This is your moment. The Mazatlán Norte Rotaract Club is inviting all athletes and the general population to participate in a race with a cause that will directly benefit the Hogar San Pablo orphanage.
Gabriela Flores, president of the Rotaract Mazatlán Norte club, expressed that the objective of the activity is to raise funds, which will be allocated to the orphanage since they need to remodel the facilities, as well as acquire beds for the minors who live there.
“It all started when we went to visit the orphanage facilities and we realized that they are in poor condition. The funds will go directly to Hogar San Pablo, they will not go financially, but rather it will be in kind because we want to remodel the facilities and give beds to the orphanage.”
The race will take place in Parque Central on January 14, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. The recovery fee is 250 pesos which includes: thermos, t-shirt, permeable bag and a medal.
The president of the Club commented that just as they expect the participation of citizens, they can count on the integration of local businessmen or companies as official sponsors of an activity that seeks to encourage participation and help others.
Club Rotaract Norte is a non-profit organization, created 5 years ago focused on the improvement of the Mazatlan community. There are 10 young people who make it up and who are looking for a way to organize charitable activities such as inns, bringing help to the nursing home and bazaars.
“We are a club of young people interested in carrying out activities that benefit the community, we normally carry out activities such as bazaars and raffles to raise funds and from there organize posadas, Three Kings’ Day or donation of food for various orphanages.”
