As part of the “Conectar” program, Telcel will send text messages to all its users in the state with information about the person to be located.
Telcel and Telmex signed a collaboration agreement with the government of Querétaro and the state Attorney General’s Office, to amplify the dissemination of Amber Alerts and the Alba Protocol, with the aim of locating women and minors in risk situations.
Through a statement, they mentioned that as part of the “Conectar” program, Telcel will have connectivity with the Prosecutor’s Office so that, when an Amber Alert is activated, it reaches Querétaro users via text message with information about the person to locate.

This message will also contain a link, which will provide access to complete information, so that all Telcel users can identify the person if they are located.
The collaboration will help the Querétaro Prosecutor’s Office launch the activation of the digital identity card to complement the Amber Alert and the Alba Protocol.
The agreement was signed by the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri; the state attorney general, Alejandro Echeverría; and the general director of Telmex, Héctor Slim Seade.
“With these actions and through the highest technology, authorities and citizens have greater reach and immediacy to access search, location and recovery services for missing people,” said Slim Seade.
During the signing of this collaboration, the Querétaro Prosecutor’s Office invited more than 150 private sector companies, universities and some government institutions to sign and launch the program.
The governor of Querétaro thanked “Telcel, not only for joining the project, but also for offering its technological infrastructure for searching and locating people, through text messages, through a commitment that reflects the true meaning of corporate responsibility.”
In this regard, the prosecutor thanked Telcel and Telmex for their good will to join the “Conectar” project, with which they seek to give greater dissemination to the Identity Card program to facilitate the search for missing people in Querétaro.
