The bodies were left inside a vehicle on a dirt road
The bodies of five young people were found inside an abandoned car on a dirt road, a few meters from the campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG), in this municipality. It is presumed that the victims were tortured before being killed.
The discovery was reported after 6 p.m. on Lombardo Toledano Street, a muddy road that leads to the community of Santiago de la Cruz, Celaya.
Neighbors reported a foul odor to the 911 emergency line, finding the bodies in the vehicle.
Police from Celaya, as well as members of the National Guard and the Army, accompanied by paramedics, arrived at the site under the idea that there could be someone alive.
One of the boys was identified by a woman, who stated that she was studying a specialty at the institution, since she was a doctor by profession. The woman assured that the other victims were also UG students.
