The adventure of JP Garza and Xiomi de Garza began to take shape days before May, when JP took a Benotto bicycle frame and made adaptations to it to withstand the challenging course.
The Ciclotour project seeks not only to explore every corner of the country, but also to generate economy in the communities they visit, making a difference compared to other similar trips.
The bike, meticulously assembled by JP, features tricycle tires that provide the strength needed to traverse varied terrain. According to JP, the goal is not only to be the first to cross Mexico from end to end, but to do so in a productive way, contributing to the local economy at each stop.
During the journey, the couple has discovered the cultural and historical wealth of Mexico, valuing places that often go unnoticed.
From cave paintings to petroglyphs in Caborca, Sonora, they highlight the diversity and history the country has to offer.
JP shared his philosophy of exploration, highlighting the importance of valuing local treasures and learning from each interesting site, from ranches to archaeological sites and cemeteries.
