Mexicana de Aviación flights will provide service in Tamaulipas, government announces

The decision is made after Aeroméxico reported that it will stop operating in Ciudad Victoria.

The government of Tamaulipas announced that the Mexicana de Aviación airline will begin operating in the entity starting in 2024, after Aeroméxico announced that it will stop offering flights in Ciudad Victoria.

In a statement, it was reported that Ciudad Victoria will be one of the destinations where the new Mexican State Airlines (AEM) will land.

The Mexican Aviation airline that was acquired by the federal government has a fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft and is projected to begin activities in 20 national destinations.

When will Mexicana de Aviación start in Tamaulipas?

It was indicated that after the management of the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, Ciudad Victoria will be one of the routes of Mexicana de Aviación next year.

So, the Pedro J. Méndez airport will be one of the terminals where these flights will arrive that will depart from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) in Mexico City.

The Ciudad Victoria-Mexico route will allow Ciudad Victoria to have air connectivity to the country’s capital, guaranteeing the mobility of citizens and with an accessible service, after the airline has cheaper fares compared to other companies.
