Dangerous Mexico-Querétaro! Video shows kidnapping of a motorist by an armed commando

A video circulating on social networks shows the moment when a group of armed men kidnapped a motorist on the Mexico-Queretaro highway, near the municipality of Huehuetoca, in the State of Mexico.

The images, captured by a security camera, show how a white van blocks the passage of a black car, which is forced to stop on the shoulder of the road. Then, at least six men get out of the van and surround the car, pointing their guns at the driver.

The assailants open the doors of the car and pull out the driver, who is thrown to the ground and beaten. Then, they drag him to the van and get in with him, leaving the car abandoned on the road. The whole operation lasts less than a minute.

According to local media, the incident occurred on January 15, around 6:30 p.m., at kilometer 64 of the highway, in the direction of Queretaro. The identity and whereabouts of the victim are unknown, as well as the motive of the kidnapping.

The video has generated outrage and indignation among social media users, who have denounced the insecurity and violence that prevails on the Mexico-Queretaro highway, one of the busiest in the country. Some have also criticized the lack of police presence and surveillance on the road.
