Heavy fines against Blablacar, in Querétaro

Foreign transport services in vans of that type of platforms are irregular, warns AMEQ

The fines for private passenger services such as Blablacar, which do not have specific permits, range from 77,805 pesos to 129,675 pesos, according to information from the Mobility Agency of the state.

In 2023, 486 infractions were applied that imply the seizure of the units for providing an irregular transport service, both by the application called Blablacar and by other types of services that have not been offered by an application.

While this year there are 46 infractions of this type in the state, it was just this week when the seizure of units in irregular terminals that had already proliferated in the area of the side of the 57 highway at the height of Cimatario avenue was announced.

It should be noted that since 2022 the presence of this service with units that are offered through the Blablacar application began to increase, which were parked on the side of the highway, and then moved within the parking lot of the commercial plaza located in the area.

In the area, units were installed with destinations such as Mexico City, where they announced their departures to spaces such as Metro Revolución, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and the North Bus Terminal.

In addition, the Mobility Agency launched two years ago the regularization of applications that provide service, which can be done with the payment of taxes per trip, although some have evaded it.
