They locate a 22-year-old girl who would have been kidnapped in Mérida

The Yucatan Prosecutor’s Office did not give information about the alleged kidnapping in Mérida.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed the location of Mayari Alejandra García Pérez, a young woman who went viral after it was published on Facebook that she had been kidnapped in Mérida.

Through social networks, the FGE shared that the Specialized Unit in the Search for Missing and Unlocated Persons (UBP), the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the SSP and the Single Window of Attention of the Alba Yucatan Protocol reported the location of the young woman.

Without mentioning where she was found and under what circumstances, they indicated that the legal procedures were carried out and the bulletin issued was deactivated, in attention to the folder FGE/BUSQUEDA/UNADT-37/2024.

It was during the night of Wednesday when the publication on Facebook of Mayari Alejandra’s boyfriend began to go viral, where the young woman indicated that she was kidnapped on the Mérida-Cholul highway, a few meters from the Social Sciences campus.

She indicated that men were chasing her, so she assured that she had been kidnapped, where so far, the Prosecutor’s Office has not given more information.
