In the first two months of 2024, Cancun International Airport recorded the highest number of incoming and outgoing foreign travelers, with a total of almost two million.
Cancun captured 45% of the total international tourists in all of Mexico during the first two months of 2024.
In total, Cancun International Airport received 1.98 million international tourists, according to figures from the Sectur (Federal Tourism Secretariat).
This level of passengers represented a growth of 7.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
With these numbers, Cancun airport positioned itself as the one with the highest mobilization of foreign tourists at the start of the year.
Mexico City International Airport (AICM) took the second position with 723,712 passengers received.
Meanwhile, Puerto Vallarta International Airport recorded a flow of 469,055 international travelers.
Cancun is also the preferred destination where international tourists spend the most.
