There will be tours of the main tourist attractions in southern Tamaulipas for attendees of the Mexican Petroleum Congress
As part of the promotion that will be carried out this week for all attendees of the Mexican Petroleum Congress (CMP) that is being held this week in Tampico, a series of tourist tours have been planned.
The intention is to make known part of the tourist wealth that the state offers to its local, national and foreign visitors, so the participants will take various tours of Tampico and Ciudad Madero, the cradle of the oil industry in Mexico, since that distant 1904, when the first producing well was discovered, reported the state Tourism Secretariat.
More than seven thousand congressmen are expected, making this event the most attended that has been held in southern Tamaulipas in recent years.

“There will also be boat rides on the Laguna del Carpintero, and they will even enjoy the colossal Ferris wheel, a typical and artisanal gastronomic display, with the presence of the classic Tamaulipas leather, among other works made by artisans, men and women who with their hands contribute to the greatness of the state,” explained the Secretary of Tourism in Tamaulipas, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez.
In addition to the tours through squares, as well as in restaurants so that they can get to know the unique flavors of local cuisine, participants will enjoy the Tamaulipas sea breeze and Miramar beach in Ciudad Madero.

“At the Expo Tampico Convention Center, from June 19 to 22, there will be various stands, including one from Tamaulipas, which will give a great boost to the state (….) Businessmen, academics, among other specialists from the oil industry, who will participate in the business roundtables to close deals and attract more tourism to a state that has it all.”
With hotels at 100% occupancy, restaurants and tourist service providers prepared, service and attention is guaranteed for visitors to the congress and their companions, revealed the Tamaulipas Tourism Secretariat.
