
More than a thousand people are living in more than 12 areas at risk from flooding or landslides in Puerto Vallarta. The director of Civil Protection and Firefighters of this city, Gerardo Alonso Castillo Andrade, announced this.
«We have located areas such as Boca de Tomatlán, Mismaloya Nogalito, Paso Ancho, which are also the basins of the Ameca, Cuale and Pitillal rivers, as well as the upper areas of Pitillal, Las Juntas, various areas of Ixtapa, La Desembocada and El Colorado», detailed Castillon Andrade.
In these areas, there are about a thousand people at risk, added the director of Civil Protection.
“We have more than a thousand people who are at risk in these areas, and we will continue to visit these risk areas. We will be there with our staff and in coordination with the State Civil Protection, informing people about the risks they are facing so that they are prepared in any emergency situation,” the official explained.
