Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., a five-division world champion, will fight an exhibition fight against John Gotti III in Mexico City on August 24. Ticket prices range up to 128,000 Mexican pesos; but if you’re looking to spend much less, there are tickets starting at 2,624.
“He’s going to arrive in good physical condition and will give a valuable fight. It will be a fight that you’ll only be able to see once in Mexico, with competitiveness,” explained Fernando Beltrán, one of the promoters of the fight, at the press conference in which the fight was presented last May.
‘Money’ Mayweather retired in 2017, after beating mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor, whom he beat by technical knockout to end his career with an undefeated record of 50 victories, 27 of them prematurely.
Since leaving the professional ranks, he has been fighting exhibition fights, the last one last year against John Gotti III, in Florida. Where the fight was suspended due to an altercation between the teams of both boxers.
The American is considered one of the best boxers of all time and his fight in August will mark his first fight in Mexico.
The event will take place at the CDMX Arena, which is the home of the Capitanes CDMX of the NBA G-League and UFC matches.

Ticket sales for the fight between ‘Money’ Mayweather and John Gotti III will begin today, Tuesday, June 25, with the special BBVA pre-sale, which will end on Sunday, June 30.
