The Special Regional Prosecutor’s Office of District VIII is investigating the death of a woman who was apparently attacked with a firearm projectile at the intersection of Nicaragua and Colombia streets, in the 5 de diciembre neighborhood, in the municipality of Puerto Vallarta.
Around 11 a.m., first responders and municipal paramedics who went to the scene of the accident reported that the woman had clear gunshot wounds, one of them in the face, so she was immediately transferred to a clinic of the Mexican Social Security Institute. Despite the medical attention she received at the scene, the woman died.
A public prosecutor and elements of the Investigative Police went to the scene to begin the investigations under the corresponding protocols, as well as with the investigation file to find who or who are responsible, but, at the moment, no arrests have been reported.
The woman’s body was transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service for the practice of the autopsy. Experts from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences also began collecting evidence at the scene.
