Retail Fashion Group, one of the subsidiaries of Grupo Sordo Madaleno (SOMA), is intensifying its focus on western Mexico with the official opening of five fashion and luxury brands in Jalisco. This move is part of its expansion strategy in the country and highlights the importance of the region, specifically Guadalajara, which is considered a key market for the fashion sector.

The five brands that will be established in the capital of Jalisco are Maje, Sandro, Alo Yoga, AllSaints and Zadig & Voltaire. All of these firms will operate under the “stand alone” store format, which means that each one will have its own independent store, without being combined with other brands. The location chosen for these new stores is the Andares shopping center, recognized as one of the most important in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, thanks to its varied and attractive commercial portfolio.

Maje and Sandro, which are part of the SMCP group, already have single-brand stores in other cities in Mexico, including Mexico City and Monterrey. In the case of Sandro, it also has a store in Puebla. Both brands have also strengthened their presence in the country through collaborations with El Palacio de Hierro, one of the most prominent department stores in the country, allowing them to reach an even wider audience.

For its part, Alo Yoga, known for its yoga and lifestyle apparel, already has three stores in Mexico, distributed in the capital and one more in Monterrey. As for Zadig & Voltaire, this French brand made its entry into the Mexican market at the end of 2023, currently it has only one establishment in the south of Mexico City, thus marking its incipient presence in the country.

AllSaints, another of Retail Fashion Group’s bets, already has a network of six single-brand stores nationwide, in addition to being present in eight El Palacio de Hierro branches. This brand is known for its contemporary style and focus on alternative fashion, allowing it to attract a diverse clientele.

It is important to note that Retail Fashion Group is not limited to just these five brands. Its portfolio also includes other fashion labels such as The Style Rack, Brownie, Claudie Pierlot, Scalpers and El Ganso, among others, demonstrating its commitment to offering a variety of fashion and luxury options to the Mexican market.

This move to Guadalajara is a testament to Retail Fashion Group’s growing interest in consolidating itself in the Mexican market, taking advantage of the growing demand for fashion brands in the region and its potential to attract consumers looking for quality and designer products. The opening of these stores not only represents an expansion of its presence in the country, but also an opportunity to enrich the commercial offer in one of the most dynamic cities in Mexico.
