The future of real estate development has a clear horizon: the beach. This location maintains the interest of investors in coastal destinations, where significant growth is foreseen in the coming years.
The president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) in Tampico, Víctor Gonzalí Hinojosa, warned about the growing number of projects planned for the tourist area in the coming year.
“Sales of vertical housing have grown notably in Playa Miramar and the Velamar area. In addition, there is another project in development near the naturist hotel and one further north of Miramar,” said Gonzalí Hinojosa.
The interest of entrepreneurs in investing in beach areas is reflected in the planning of a new eight-story building, whose construction is about to begin, once the details of the necessary permits are finalized.
“There is an average of three investors planning developments in the naturist area. They are interested in creating complexes, although they face problems with drainage and electricity supply, problems that can be solved by developing adequate infrastructure,” he added.
AMPI seeks rapprochement with municipal authorities
AMPI seeks to establish a rapprochement with municipal authorities to facilitate the management of the necessary works that will promote these investment projects.
In the municipalities of Tampico and Ciudad Madero, more than 10 plots of land have been identified that are suitable for the construction of vertical buildings, intended for both social interest housing (Infonavit) and higher-level residential spaces.
The outlook for real estate development in these coastal areas shows a promising future, driven by the combination of investor interest and the great potential for tourism growth. The beach, without a doubt, is emerging as the main stage for this important expansion.
