Forensic elements and expert services of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Tamaulipas announced that Jared Alberto D, allegedly responsible for the illegal deprivation of liberty of José Ventura Castillo, father of Verónica Castillo, alternate senator for the Morena member Olga Sosa, was found dead, with signs of torture.

The alleged murderer was found dead in the infirmary of the Center for Executions and Sanctions (Cedes) of the border city of Reynosa, where he was serving a preventive prison term for the duration of the integration of the investigations regarding the kidnapping of Ventura Castillo.

Authorities at Cedes reported that the death occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when Jared Alberto was in the infirmary area of ​​the prison. They indicated that there were evident skin abrasions on the wrists and ankles, a greenish coloration on the chest, as well as inflammation on the left ankle, bruises on the ears, and kinaosis in the mouth and fingernails.

The ministerial authority requested the intervention of expert services and the transfer of the body to the Forensic Medical Service, to carry out a thorough investigation regarding his death.

Jared Alberto was arrested by the Tamaulipas Investigative Police last Sunday in the city of Reynosa, along with Eduardo G and Eduardo G (homonyms) for their alleged participation in the kidnapping of businessman Ventura Castillo, who according to investigations had a debt of at least 2 million pesos for the franchise of a restaurant located in said town, which he obtained from Eduardo G’s father, who demanded payment and when he failed to collect, requested that the parent of the alternate senator for Morena, elected on June 2, be deprived of his liberty.
