Mazatlan lifeguards rescue 7 people from the sea

The coordination of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat Agents assigned to the beach areas, in addition to ENSAR and Employees of the Lodging Centers was very important for the operation on Sunday where they carried out seven different interventions in different beach areas.

It was reported in a statement that Iván Alejandro Barrón Ureña, Commander of the Aquatic Rescue Squadron indicated that during Sunday, the lifeguards were activated in Gaviotas Beach 4 where they saved Álvaro, 54 years old, Aaron, 63 years old was helped in Playa Norte 5, from Cerritos Juan, 20 years old, a resident of Mazatlán, and Alexia, 14 years old, in Playa Camarón. The aforementioned bathers were evaluated and only presented fatigue, in one of the cases the emergency occurred due to ignoring the recommendations.

During the patrols, the lifeguards were alerted to provide support to a person who was disoriented. Given the situation, Daniela, 19, was taken to a hospital where she was diagnosed with a probable heat stroke and needed to remain under medical observation.

A two-year-old boy, originally from Durango, was located by the personnel who had previously been alerted by his parents. After providing some recommendations, they continued with their operations.

In another alert situation, Navy and Lifeguard personnel approached a boat that was emitting a lot of smoke. Upon arrival, they reported that it was a mechanical failure and there was no risk, but the personnel remained on standby.
