A short video of a pair of spider monkeys went viral on social media last Friday, very much in keeping with the all-inclusive buffets in Cancun, Quintana Roo, who took advantage of their opportunity to steal several bananas with them, ‘without permission.’
The short video, approximately 15 seconds long, shows how both suspects climb onto the fruit bar of the buffet and take a bunch of bananas each.
Trying to escape at top speed, with one of the monkeys even trying to eat during the escape, they lost some of the bananas that would make up their loot, but in the end they escaped unharmed from the scene of the ‘crime’, where those present were also not affected.
These images flooded the networks, where people applauded the monkeys for their robbery, with some even justifying it, blaming the big hotels for invading their habitat and forcing them to carry out these acts.
