Agents of the State Attorney General’s Office in coordination with the Secretariat of the Mexican Navy and military elements, arrested this morning eight active elements of the Municipal Police of Colima for allegedly having ties with criminal groups.
The operation was carried out at approximately 6:30 a.m. this Thursday, in the building of the agency itself in the El Porvenir neighborhood, the municipal agents were arrested during the change of work shift.
Among the accusations, there are alleged ties with criminal groups and leaks of information.
During the operation, the municipal agents were removed from the building of the agency and put in an armored truck, to be transferred to the facilities of the State Attorney General’s Office to be placed at the disposition of the agent of the Public Ministry.
