“Mérida is one of the best places to live,” declared Celia María Rivas Rodríguez

“The City of Mérida is one of the best places to live and is a reference for national and foreign tourism, showcasing the modernity, peace, and tranquility with which one lives in the capital of the State of Yucatán,” declared PAN councilor Celia María Rivas Rodríguez.

Councilor Rivas Rodríguez expressed that the municipal administration led by Renán Barrera Concha, which concludes this Saturday, August 31, leaves a clean, orderly city with good security and a good place to live with opportunities to move forward.

She added that he made a great effort over three years to make the city a beautiful place to live, with job opportunities, orderly growth, and a lot of modernity according to the times we live in.

She reiterated that all this was due to the work, effort, and dedication of the municipal authority, municipal public officials, and councilors from different political parties who approved important laws and regulations in three years of intense activity and with good results for the people of Mérida and the inhabitants of the commissaries.

Councilor Rivas Rodríguez specified that Mérida continues to be a safe and peaceful city for its inhabitants and visitors; the municipal police were modernized, civic justice was created, which is administrative and conciliatory, and this is what the municipal authorities who begin their work on September 1 with Mayor Cecilia Patrón Laviada will inherit.

Finally, she recalled that Renán Barrera Concha was in the Mérida Mayor’s Office for 9 years and the municipality will be in good hands with Cecilia Patrón Laviada, who is a woman committed to social causes and will achieve the development of the city and good living conditions for its inhabitants and the people of the commissaries, ensuring a dignified Mérida to live in.
