Corn is one of the most traditional foods in Mexico and what better way to enjoy it than precisely in this patriotic month, where you can combine the rich gastronomy of our country with partying and dancing.
A good option for this is the Gastronomic and Corn Fair 2024, which will take place from September 7 to 18 in the Civic Plaza of Santa Ana Tlacotenco.
Admission to the event will be free, the only thing you will spend money on is all the snack options that will be at the fair, since it promises to have corn prepared in different ways, from the classic mayonnaise with chili and lemon, to corn bread, gelatin, cakes, flan, atole, pozole, chiles en nogada, chileatole and hot cakes.
More corn snacks, music and dancing
Now, if that is not enough for you and you are looking for more snacks inspired by corn, in addition to combining it with music and dancing, you can go to the National Corn Fair, which is held at the Las Maravillas Ecotourism Park, located in Topilejo, in the Tlalpan municipality, in Mexico City.
The XXXVI edition of this event will take place from September 13 to 16, 2024, and is completely free.
Corn, esquites, tortillas, tlacoyos, gorditas, quesadillas, tamales, sopes, huaraches, tamales, atole, chileatole, corn bread and more will be part of the gastronomic offering of this fair.
But that’s not all, since at the National Corn Fair there will also be musical concerts, with groups such as Mariachi Los Camperos, Salón Victoria, Sonora Dinamita and more.
