With the death of “Tita” Coppel de Tamayo, Mazatlán loses a great woman

Mazatlan society is in mourning with the death of Claudia Marcela Coppel Tirado, which occurred on Sunday, September 1.

The news of the death of the woman who was better known in life as “Tita Coppel”, sister of Alberto Coppel Tirado, general director of Grupo Pueblo Bonito, was released through social networks.

The Mazatlan woman was married to the renowned businessman César Tamayo Rodríguez, with whom she had her children Michelle, César and Fernanda. Dozens of messages of condolence have been sent to them in response to the news, in which they have expressed their sorrow, as well as the recognition, admiration and affection that they also had for her in the capital of Sinaloa.

In the professional field, she stood out as a collaborator of various business groups. Recently she was the director of Public Relations for Grupo Arhe.

Family and friends have shared their grief over the death of Tita Coppel, at the age of 57, including the former governor of Sinaloa and current Mexican ambassador to Spain, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, who published a heartfelt condolence

“We are very sorry for the death of our dear friend and collaborator Tita Coppel de Tamayo, who we will always remember for her joy and good attitude, a hug to her husband Cesar, her children Michelle, Cesar and Fernanda, as well as her mother and other relatives. RIP.”

Coming from a very beloved family, Tita was the sister of Monica Coppel, who has had a great career as an athlete and state and municipal official.

To say goodbye to her, her relatives will hold a mass for her ashes this Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
