Tourists Have an Accident on the Mérida-Campeche Highway: This is the Outcome

Due to losing control of their vehicle, some tourists ended up in an accident on the Mérida-Campeche federal highway, resulting in injuries and material damage.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 PM on the Mérida-Campeche highway at km 146+900, when a white SUV with license plates PBU-6272 from the State of Mexico, driven by M.F. R. H, 64 years old, who was accompanied by his daughter and wife, was heading to the city of Mérida for vacation.

At one point, the driver lost control of the SUV, veering off to the left and rolling over, which caused it to enter the central median.

Witnesses reported the incident to emergency services, and municipal police, ambulances, and SSP units arrived at the scene to provide first aid to G. P. B., 62 years old, and Y. M. R. P., 25 years old, who had injuries that did not require hospitalization. Additionally, an insurance representative arrived at the scene to determine liability.
