Mexican Army attacked on Zacatecas-Aguascalientes highway

Official sources confirmed that personnel belonging to the 97th Infantry Battalion of Fresnillo, while conducting reconnaissance on the Zacatecas-Aguascalientes highway, at kilometer 63, were attacked by alleged members of organized crime.

After the armed attack, no wounded soldiers were reported, only a young man named Hector, 17 years old, originally from the state of Durango, without specifying whether he was a member of the alleged criminals and who was taken to a hospital for medical attention.

Thanks to the arrest of one of the attackers, it was learned that they were traveling in three trucks, including a white Hilux that was seized.

Likewise, the detainee said that the criminal group left to carry out the kidnapping of an individual allegedly dedicated to the theft of fuel (Huachicoleo), whose name is unknown.

In addition, three Ak-47 long weapons were seized. And five magazines for this type of weapons.

It was also announced that there was coordination with personnel from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to make available the seized items, as well as the transfer of the vehicle.
