An adventure turned into tragedy when a tour guide died after falling from the Micos zip line, located in San Luis Potosí (SLP). The fall of the man, who was supposed to guide the visitors, caused terror when he suddenly lost his life.

According to local media, the events occurred yesterday afternoon, Sunday, September 8, when Juan Antonio Hernández, a local guide and worker of the AdventureLand company, was showing visitors what the attraction was like.

In an instant, the life of the man, originally from the La Pitahaya community and 35 years old, ended when the zip line cable broke, falling from a height of 50 meters towards the precipice.

Through social media, the State Coordination of Civil Protection of SLP reported that personnel from the agency, together with emergency bodies, Civil Protection of Valles, PCM, State Civil Guard, Red Cross, Firefighters and Municipal Police, went to the area to work on the rescue of the body of the 35-year-old guide, who fell from the Micos zip line.

According to the latest publication made by the agency, since 4:21 p.m. yesterday, the body of the tourist guide has not been located near the Micos zip line.

It should be noted that this incident is not the first involving the Micos zip line, since in April 2023, local authorities warned about irregularities in its operation and had announced its closure. However, the attraction continued to operate.
