This Monday, September 9, transporters have started blockades at some important highway points, we tell you which ones so you can take your precautions.
Which highways will be blocked by transporters?
The Union of Transporters of Personnel Transport Units and Taxi Organizations of Jilotepec announced road closures in:
Mexico-Querétaro Highway
Arco Norte
Atlacomulco-Toluca
Mexico-Querétaro Highway is already blocked
Since 7:00 a.m., transporters began to gather at points such as the Tepotzotlán Toll Booth, on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway, together with their units at the height of Coyotepec.
The authorities of the State of Mexico indicate that the road settlement is already 12.3 kilometers.
Why are transporters gathering for these blockades?
The protesters are asking the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and Governor Delfina Gómez to take prompt action on the complaints made for:
Extortion
Abuse of authority
Burning of units
The transporters argue that they are victims of these crimes by criminal groups. In addition, they denounce the dispossession of their bases in Jilotepec, with the use of public force.
