Charter trucks in Mazatlán continue with their traffic disorder

More than a month after the traffic routes were implemented to regulate foreign tourist transport in Mazatlán, the disorder caused by the “charter” trucks for the boarding and disembarking of tourists can still be seen in some places.

In this regard, the president of the Tres Islas Hotels and Motels Association, José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, said that work meetings continue with the Delegation of Roads and Transportation and the Secretariat of Public Safety and Municipal Transit to inform the operators of these companies which are the access and exit roads of the city, according to the area where the hotel is located where the tourists arrive.

“It is a reorganization, it is not an affectation, it is an order established in five routes, which are from Cerritos, what is Sábalo, Gaviotas, Malecón one, Malecón two and what is the downtown area, depending on which hotel you go to, where you should access the city, and when you are going to leave, where you are going to leave, and thus it helps to take traffic pressure off different important roads in Mazatlán,” he said.

The businessman added that one of the main complaints of the destination is the issue of saturation of the roads, hence this type of measures will be taken.

Manguart Sanchez reported that so far no company has expressed that it will no longer make trips to the port due to this order.
