How much does it cost to take a taxi from AICM?

At Mexico City International Airport (AICM), only taxis with a permit from the authorities can provide service, as they must meet a series of requirements to provide service to passengers.

In recent days, controversy arose over the permit for app taxis to operate at the Benito Juárez airport, as since 2022 they are prohibited from providing service at the facilities because it is a federal zone.

However, due to the dissatisfaction of taxi drivers, the permit was again denied, so Uber or DiDi operators continue to have boarding points in the vicinity of the airport to provide the service.

Given this situation, users are wondering which taxis they can board at AICM and what is their price.

How much do AICM taxis charge?

The fares for Mexico City airport taxis are higher than those for regular taxis, because they must meet more requirements, such as special license plates to operate within airports, their cars must be in good condition and most importantly, they cannot carry passengers as free or app-based taxis usually do.

The airport taxi drivers set their rates, and the cost varies depending on the distance, although on average, a trip from AICM to Polanco, Del Valle and its surroundings costs between 250 and 350 pesos, plus some additional costs, for luggage, for example, and those considered by the concessionaire.
