Hitmen Execute “El Zombie” in Region 251 of Cancún

A young man identified as Osiel “N,” known as “El Zombie” or “Sireno,” was shot dead last Saturday in Region 251 of Cancún. The victim, 20 years old, worked as a sailor in the hotel zone, according to reports.

The attack occurred around 7:00 PM on Isla Virgen Street in the Paseos del Mar subdivision. Neighbors alerted authorities after hearing multiple gunshots in the public street. Upon arrival, Municipal Police officers found the man lying on the pavement in a pool of blood.

Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that Osiel no longer showed vital signs due to the gunshot wounds. Witnesses indicated that two armed individuals approached the young man and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.

Experts from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived at the site to carry out the necessary procedures and remove the body. The remains were taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) awaiting official identification and claim by his family.

This violent episode adds to the growing list of criminal incidents affecting the city of Cancún, causing concern among the community due to the increasing wave of violence.

Authorities continue to investigate to locate those responsible for the execution of “El Zombie” and clarify the motives behind the homicide.
