To protest against the violence committed by police during the eviction and recovery of hijacked buses, in which the uniformed officers used public force and tear gas, on Thursday. This Saturday, normalistas went on a march from the Fuente de las Ocho Regiones, towards the main square of the city.

Students from the Normal School of Special Education (Enee), agreed to protest during the visit of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who this weekend made his last work tour in Oaxaca, in Guelatao, in the Sierra Norte, where the “Camino de Benito Juárez” was inaugurated.

Meanwhile, during the march, the students vandalized businesses, cars, bank branches and other establishments. Some businesses chose to cordon off their establishments to avoid damage during the protest.

The protests began three days ago with the hijacking of public transport buses to surround intersections, in addition to the looting of drinks from a Coca-Cola truck.
