Tamaulipas is the venue for the National Art and Culture Meeting of the National Technological Institute of Mexico

On behalf of the State Governor, Américo Villarreal Anaya, the Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, Lucía Aimé Castillo Pastor, inaugurated the XL National Meeting of Art and Culture of the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM) 2024, with the Technological Institute of Ciudad Madero as its headquarters.

From Wednesday, September 19th until next Sunday, September 22nd, more than 1,200 students from 84 delegations from all over the country will participate in artistic and cultural competitions that will take place in different spaces in the municipalities of Tampico, Madero and Altamira.

Prior to the opening ceremony, the art exhibition was presented on the campus of the Technological Institute of Madero and several of the participating contingents were in a parade that concluded at the Gymnasium of the Sports Unit of Ciudad Madero.

During the opening ceremony, Lucía Aimé Castillo Pastor congratulated the young people who participated in the Meeting and highlighted its relevance, as it is a space for the preservation of our traditions and the strengthening of the cultural values ​​that unite us as a nation.

“And what more do we want as a society than a life lived in love and well-being? A life conducive to artistic creation and the manifestation of emotions. In the words of our president: By having a participatory and collaborative society, we will have better opportunities for everyone,” she said.

For his part, Juan Dionisio Cruz Guerrero, director of the Madero Institute of Technology, thanked everyone who made it possible for Tamaulipas and the institution he directs to be the venue for this important meeting, which brings together the great family of the Institutes of Technology of Mexico.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Ramón Jiménez López, general director of the National Institute of Technology of Mexico; Andrea Zárate Fuentes, secretary of Extension and Liaison of the TecNM; Legislator Úrsula Patricia Salazar Mojica, president of the Political Coordination Board and president of the Governing Board of the State Congress, and Erasmo González Robledo, president-elect of Ciudad Madero, among other authorities.
