Three people were deprived of their liberty in the early hours of Monday in the Mazatlán Constitución neighborhood, two men and a woman, apparently kidnapped by alleged armed subjects. The Secretary of Public Security in Mazatlán, Jaime Othoniel Barrón Valdez, also announced that two other reports were registered, one in Hacienda Ex Conchi, and another in a Rehabilitation Center; however, he said he did not have more information about these reports, so he indicated that possibly the State Attorney General’s Office is the agency that has the corresponding complaint.
Regarding the illegal deprivation of the three people, he specified that the Municipal Police supported in providing the necessary information to the relatives so that they could proceed to file the corresponding complaint, so the State Attorney General’s Office will be the one in charge of investigating these events.
The Secretary of Security said that they are keeping an eye on this situation, so he called on people to report any unsafe situation to 911, and recommended that young people be aware of the people they associate with.
