Luis Armando Becerra Pérez, an economics specialist at the UAS, said that an emergency program is required by the three levels of government, which allows the commercial and service sectors to compensate for the damages.
According to the figures of the National Survey of Occupation and Employment of the INEGI, which indicates that 441,553 people work in the commerce and services sector of Culiacán, 21,732 people in Navolato and 7,933 people in Elota, companies had to pay 2,024 million pesos for wages not earned or partially earned by their workers.
