Avianca Confirms New Flight Between Bogotá and Tulum

The new route will allow Colombian travelers, and those connecting through El Dorado Airport in Bogotá, to access the beaches and cultural attractions of Tulum more quickly and directly, commented the executive.

The airline Avianca announced a new route that will directly connect Bogotá with Tulum starting December 10, 2024. This connection, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, will offer three weekly flights, with more than 1,000 seats available between both destinations each week.

The airline began the process of obtaining permits for this route last July and now confirms that it will have 1,000 seats available weekly between both destinations, reinforcing Avianca’s strategy to increase its presence in the Mexican market and meet the growing demand for travel to the region.

This was commented by David Alemán, Avianca’s sales director for Colombia and South America, who highlighted the importance of Tulum as one of the most attractive destinations in the Riviera Maya.

The new route will allow Colombian travelers, and those connecting through El Dorado Airport in Bogotá, to access the beaches and cultural attractions of Tulum more quickly and directly, commented the executive.

Flights will be scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from Bogotá at 12:30 PM and arriving in Tulum at 4:00 PM. The return flight will be at 5:05 PM, landing in Bogotá at 8:25 PM, which is planned to optimize connections to other destinations in America and Europe.
