Government of Guanajuato Offers Support to Migrants in the United States Due to the Impact of Hurricane Helene

Authorities in Guanajuato are offering assistance to Guanajuato residents who require support due to the passage and impact of Hurricane Helene.

The Government of Guanajuato is contacting consular authorities in Georgia and Florida to monitor the needs of compatriots affected by Hurricane Helene.

As part of these actions, the Secretariat of Human Rights (SDH) of Guanajuato has contacted the Mexican consular network in the United States to provide assistance to Guanajuato residents who require support due to the passage and impact of Hurricane Helene.

“Through the Liaison Office we have in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, we are conducting permanent monitoring to ensure that the community of Guanajuato residents in the area are well, and if they require any type of support, to manage it with the corresponding authorities,” stated the Government of Guanajuato.

Additionally, they maintain contact with migrant clubs to stay informed about the needs of Guanajuato migrants.

The Government of Guanajuato estimated that 23,000 Guanajuato residents live in Florida and 32,000 in Georgia.
