Cozumel to Receive 19 Cruise Ships with Nearly 50,000 Tourists in Seven Days

From September 30 to October 6, Cozumel will see a significant influx of cruise ships. During this period, 19 cruise ships are expected to arrive, bringing approximately 57,000 tourists and generating an estimated economic impact of over 77.5 million pesos.

Tuesday will be the busiest day, with six cruise ships arriving. Additionally, there will be two days with four arrivals each, on Thursday and Friday. The southern docks of the island will be the most active, with nine dockings at SSA Mexico and eight at Puerta Maya.

The central Punta Langosta dock will receive only two cruise ships. Each cruise ship is estimated to bring an average of 3,000 tourists, including passengers and crew, with a per capita expenditure of 80 dollars.

The arrival of these cruise ships will solidify Cozumel as one of the main tourist destinations in the Mexican Caribbean, offering a variety of activities and experiences for visitors.
