Tulum Projects 90% Hotel Occupancy by End of 2024

As Tulum continues to establish itself as one of the most important destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean, hotel occupancy projections point to year-end figures exceeding 90%.

According to David Ortiz, president of the Tulum Hotel Association, the current hotel occupancy rate is 67%, but it is expected to surpass 90% by the end of the year, especially with the inauguration of the Maya Train and the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport.

“We had an atypical summer season, but the year-end season will be good. There is an extraordinary opportunity to boost tourism capacity with the Maya Train and the Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport,” stated David Ortiz.

Currently, Tulum has more than 10,800 hotel rooms, with occupancy rates remaining above 6,800 rooms.
