The case of Paola Villegas, the name of a young woman who began to appear on Facebook in mid-September because she had disappeared in Monterrey, ended tragically. Although she was located, her condition was not favorable and she finally lost her life, her family confirmed.
Through a statement, the Villegas Hernández family reported that the body of the 20-year-old girl had been cremated, and that the ashes would be laid to rest at her home in Nazas, Durango state.
What happened to Paola?
Paola Villegas, originally from Durango, traveled to the city of Monterrey, and arrived at the Central Bus Station on September 16 of this year.
The reason for her move was, according to family members on social networks, due to work issues.
Paola was in communication with her loved ones until 6:00 a.m. that day, since after that contact was lost; the ordeal immediately began.
The day passed and the Villegas Hernández family heard nothing more from Paola, who did not respond to messages or phone calls.
This caused Paola’s name and image to begin to spread via Facebook, especially in communities where users from Monterrey predominate, in order to begin the search.
Paola appears, but injured
Hours later, a person from the city of Monterrey contacted the Villegas Hernández family, who were notified that a girl with Paola’s characteristics was in a hospital in the metropolitan area.
It was revealed that Paola had been found in the center, injured, and that she had therefore been transferred to the hospital.
Although the young woman was stabilized, the stab wound was deep and her condition required a new transfer, now to a Social Security clinic in Torreón, Coahuila, where she died on September 27.
There are currently many loose ends regarding this case, including the reason why Paola appeared injured and, of course, the alleged person responsible for it, so it is expected that the authorities continue working to advance in the collection of data, however, information has emerged that the young woman would have been assaulted by an alleged taxi driver, who would be behind this situation.
