Due to the war between Los Rusos and Los Salazar, security is reinforced in Sonora and Baja California; there are three detainees

In a series of security operations in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, authorities managed to capture three individuals who generate violence in the region after clashes between organized crime groups operating in the area.

According to the Attorney General’s Office of Sonora (FGJ), a coordinated operation between security institutions after the events that occurred in San Luis Río Colorado led to the capture of three probable generators of violence identified as Iván Alfonso “N”, Carlos Alberto “N” and Félix Aarón “N”, the seizure of three vehicles and four firearms.

Without mentioning the names of the criminal structures, the Sonora Attorney General’s Office mentioned that the arrest of these three people corresponds to a confrontation between antagonistic groups of organized crime, one of them from Baja California.

Therefore, security institutions from both states reinforced the borders between both entities in order to limit the mobility of the members of said criminal group.

“Following the reported clashes, a response operation was immediately carried out with the coordinated participation of the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency (AMIC), the State Public Security Police (PESP), the Mexican Army, the Secretariat of the Mexican Navy and the National Guard.”

These people were seized three long weapons, a short weapon, three ballistic vests, three magazine carriers, 13 long weapon magazines, three vehicles, cell phones and the capture of the three alleged generators of violence.

Iván Alfonso “N” and Carlos Alberto “N” will seek to be prosecuted for the crimes of criminal association and home invasion, while Félix Aarón “N” could face charges of criminal association and possession of a stolen vehicle, this in relation to common law crimes.

The local Public Ministry highlighted that the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) will be notified for the probable commission of crimes against the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives.

It was reported that during the operations two search warrants were also carried out, in which two people with evidence were arrested.

The first of these search warrants was carried out in a house on Avenida Dalias, in the Libertad neighborhood, where Roberto “N”, alias “El Ruco”, 63 years old, was arrested. He is originally from Jalisco. He was found in possession of 27 packages of methamphetamine, 210 blue pills with the legend M30 and a black gram scale.

The second one was carried out in a house on Avenida Nayarit and Calle 26 in the Campestre neighborhood, where Oscar “N”, 50 years old, was arrested. He is originally from the State of Mexico and was found in possession of 28 packages with a substance with the characteristics of methamphetamine.

Unofficial information obtained by Infobae Mexico indicates that the criminal cells in conflict are Los Rusos, the armed wing of the Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, against Los Salazar, former partners of Los Chapitos until a year ago.

The Sonora Prosecutor’s Office had reported that the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency (AMIC) and Sedena officers seized 24 video surveillance cameras illegally installed in various neighborhoods of San Luis Río Colorado. “The electronic devices were located and uninstalled in the Altar, Mexico, Federal and Mezquite neighborhoods, after investigations into the probable commission of the crime of attacking the security of the community, known as “halconeo,” which involves the illegal monitoring and surveillance of people or authorities.”

They were placed on power poles, street lights, telephones and even on palm trees and homes, and were removed by the task force made up of AMIC personnel with Sedena.
