This Friday the Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2024 begins. You have to enjoy it!

With the purpose of entertaining the public and promoting culture and art, in the heart of the city, the Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2024 begins this Friday, with the “Culture in your House” program that includes five dates with artistic presentations.

In the emblematic Machado square, all the shows will be presented starting at 6:00 p.m., and their objective is to offer unforgettable experiences.

The Mazatlán Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art announced that it is a diverse and exciting program that will begin on Friday, October 4 with “Once upon a time,” a classical ballet show inspired by children’s stories, presented by the Municipal School of Classical Ballet under the direction of teacher Zoila Fernández.

This event is ideal for families and children, who will be able to enjoy the magic of dance, music and storytelling in the voice of teacher Ramón Gómez Polo (the magician).

The interpretation of children’s classics, such as “Sleeping Beauty”, “Puss in Boots”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Pinocchio” and “Cinderella and her Sisters”, are part of the program.

On Saturday, October 5, the Professional Dance School of Mazatlán (EPDM) will present “Imaginary Worlds”, which combines technique and creativity of the young students of the prestigious dance institution, who will share their innovative choreographies accompanied by contemporary music. The future professional dancers will show their talent and dedication in a presentation that seeks to inspire and excite audiences of all ages.

The next presentation will be on Friday, October 11, at the Machado Plaza kiosk, where students from the Municipal Arts Center’s Guitar Workshop will offer the recital “Guitar Ensemble”, directed by the outstanding guitarist and teacher Luis Ornelas. The repertoire ranges from classical pieces of the universal guitar to bolero, guaranteeing a night of emotion and beauty.

Culture in your Community will continue on Friday, October 18 at Machado with the performance of the Jazz Band, directed by Omar Ríos; and concludes on Saturday, October 19, with the joyful intervention of the Folkloric Ballet of the Mazatlán Institute of Culture, directed by Javier Arcadia, who will delight with a varied repertoire of traditional dances.

The Institute of Culture invites all local public and tourists to attend these presentations, and not miss the opportunity to discover new talents and enjoy live culture and art.
