The events occurred on January 6, 2022, when the victims were kidnapped and subsequently murdered by those now convicted.

The bodies of the victims were abandoned in a vehicle, which was left in the Plaza de Armas, in the Historic Center of the Zacatecan capital, an act that shocked the local community and attracted national attention.

Thanks to the investigative work of the authorities, Perla “N” and Juan “N” were captured and brought to justice. After the legal process that culminated in an oral trial, the historic sentence was handed down.

In addition to the prison sentence, a fine of more than 23 million pesos was imposed, which corresponds to the harm caused to the victims. Likewise, the confiscation of two vehicles used in the commission of the crime was ordered.
