The Municipal Government of San Miguel de Allende, under the direction of Mauricio Trejo, has been recognized as the only municipal corporation in Guanajuato that has complied 100% with the 46 Municipal Commitments in terms of Security. This achievement was highlighted during the 65th Ordinary Session of the State Commission of Public Security Secretaries, where the effectiveness of the Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) was underlined.
Andrei García, Secretary of Security of San Miguel, stated that this distinction reflects the continuous effort to improve the security of the population. He highlighted that the municipality has become a reference in the state, working daily and punctually to strengthen the confidence of citizens in their security forces. The Secretary of Government and City Hall, Laura González, received the distinction on behalf of the municipality at the session, held at the General Directorate of the State System C5i.
The mention was made by state authorities of the Secretariat of Security and Peace, which highlights the effective collaboration between the municipality and the state. With full compliance with the commitments, San Miguel de Allende will have access to the newly created Municipal Public Security Strengthening Fund, which amounts to 1.2 billion pesos. This fund will be distributed according to the criteria of the State Public Security Council, prioritizing those corporations with the greatest commitment to benefiting their inhabitants.
