Puerta de Lobo: the 2024 grape harvest in Querétaro, an unforgettable experience

In the heart of Chichimequillas, Querétaro, the Puerta de Lobo Vineyard became the epicenter of unique experiences during the 2024 harvest, reaffirming its commitment to promoting wine tourism in collaboration with the state’s Ministry of Tourism. This event not only celebrates the grape harvest, but also offers a series of activities that bring locals and tourists closer to the fascinating world of wine.

Last weekend, visitors had the opportunity to participate in exclusive activities such as traditional grape stomping, expert-guided tastings, a craft market, and an art exhibition that connected the best of wine with local creativity. In addition, hat painting workshops and art classes with recycled bottles added a personalized touch to the experience, where art and sustainability merged perfectly.

One of the vineyard’s biggest attractions is the NONU Glamping, an option for those who want to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort, and the recently opened Vertical Restaurant, which offers an innovative gastronomic proposal, ideal for pairing with the house wines.

Within the framework of this celebration, the Blanco & Tinto 2024 experience stood out, an event designed to share with friends and family, where attendees enjoyed house wine, spirits, cocktails, food stations and a dessert table that crowned a memorable evening.

But that was not all: Puerta de Lobo launched its first wine with a cause, a commemorative and limited edition bottle, with a numbered author’s label, which quickly became the most coveted souvenir for attendees. The day concluded with a spectacular Sunset Party at the Mirador Cocktail & Wine Bar, where the white dress code gave an elegant air to the party, enlivened by DJs Wolffer and Durango, creating the perfect atmosphere to celebrate at sunset among the vineyards.

Cristofer Merlos, Director of Administration of the Querétaro Tourism Secretariat, who attended on behalf of Secretary Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, emphasized the importance of wine as the state’s star product. “The grape represents the best of Querétaro,” he said, stressing that events such as Puerta de Lobo show what the region has to offer to both national and foreign visitors.

Eusebio Goyeneche González, President of the Board of Directors of the Querétaro Wine Cluster and entrepreneur of Puerta de Lobo, thanked the support of local authorities and the Tourism Secretariat, and invited wine tourism lovers to visit the vineyard. “Here you will find great experiences and flavors that can be enjoyed with family, as a couple or with friends,” he said.

The grape harvest in Querétaro not only celebrates the abundance of the harvests, but has become an event that promotes both tourism and wine consumption. From tastings and tours of the vineyards to grape harvesting and artisanal exhibitions, each winery prepares a unique proposal to celebrate this season, making the state an unmissable destination for those looking to delight in the fruits of the land and the culture of wine.
