On October 6, a video circulated on social media showing the murder of a 16-year-old boy at the hands of armed men in Tapachula, Chiapas.

According to the videos posted on the X platform, the events occurred on October 2 at 2:24 p.m.

In the recording, a group of men can be seen gathered outside a house when the teenager, named Ricardo, arrived running, as if trying to escape from those who were chasing him.

The young man was wearing gray shorts, a black sweatshirt, and carrying a backpack. Upon noticing his arrival and that of the armed men, the others quickly dispersed.

Ricardo stopped in front of the house and raised his hand, trying to signal for them to let him go. When he failed, he threw himself to the ground while one of the attackers, with a gun and a motorcycle helmet, approached quickly.

Finally, the teenager was executed while he remained lying on the asphalt.

So far, there is no official report from municipal or state authorities on the causes of the homicide.

Salinas Pliego proposes permit to carry weapons after murder of teenager

In response, businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego regretted the events and proposed the use of weapons.

“INCREDIBLY sad images… it was an unarmed child. I propose that citizens have a permit to carry weapons, we clearly see that bad people walk around armed, why don’t the good ones? Are you going to tell me that it’s to avoid deaths after seeing this video?” reads the post.
